My name is Rachelle LeBlanc and I am a visual artist working in textiles using rug hooking as a medium. I was born in Boston, Massachusetts to French Acadian parents, and grew up in New-Brunswick, Canada.

Since graduating from the Fashion Design program at Sheridan College in Ontario, I worked as a sportswear designer in Montreal, until moving to Alberta in 2008.
With a growing international reputation, I am known for my distinct style, technical excellence and for breaking new ground within the traditional craft of rug hooking which have deep roots in Canadian history, and for introducing the medium to a contemporary art market.  My work is exhibited extensively and I teach advanced rug hooking across Canada and the United States.
